TRS Consulting is partnering with a St. Paul manufacturing facility in their search for an accomplished Maintenance Supervisor to support with weekday production needs. The Maintenance Supervisor's main responsibility is to assist in the maintenance of machinery, problem-solve issues, and implement a regular maintenance program for equipment. AutoCAD and PLC experience is necessary for the role.
Primary Duties Include:
Implement a regular maintenance program for equipment.
Detect malfunctions and discuss machine operation variations with other supervisors and machine operators to diagnose problems or repair machines.
Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.
Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
Repair and maintain physical structure of establishment.
Install, program, or repair automated machinery and equipment.
Set up and operate machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.
Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
Modify existing equipment for improvements.
Integrate innovative design into our current processes for process improvement.
Responsible for programing automation and controls systems involving PLCs [programmable logic controllers].
Oversee Maintenance Personnel and participate in coaching and development.
Participate in Production meetings and Operational Planning meetings.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
Experienced industrial mechanic
High-school diploma or GED; college coursework preferred
AutoCAD knowledge is a plus
Must have proven experience in PLC logic and programming
Electrical experience is desired
Willingness to learn innovative technologies.
