TRS Consulting is supporting a national company with its search for a Lead Data and Systems Analyst. The company is undergoing their largest project to-date, and is focused on establishing excellence on a shared foundation by rolling out a common business system platform to their subsidiaries, building upon their strengths and positively transforming their business. To successfully support the implementation schedule, the Data Team is focused on finalizing scalable clean data, data migration, and data validation strategy. This strategy will support extracting, transforming, and loading data from various business systems.
This individual will lead the Design / Build team members of the Data Team. The Lead Data and Systems Analyst ensures that the process and tools within our capability meet the needs of our objectives and roadmap.
Partner with the Data Team
Work in partnership with the all members of the Data Team, including the Global Process Owner, Implementation Lead, and Community Lead
Responsible for helping to develop the overall Data Team roadmap
Work with company leaders to analyze their business system(s) in the context of clean data, data migration, and data validation
Establish connections to the company's business systems, analyze data dictionaries, and perform data mapping
Design company-specific transformations for each new business system
Design / Build Capability Improvements
Proactively identify improvements by researching new tools and technologies that could be implemented to further the Data Team capability
Gather requirements and perform analysis to understand what the needs of each initiative are before the design or solution phase begins
Follow and maintain the process of how the Design / Build team functions in order to ensure delivery and quality of work
Manage team workload, surface roadblocks, and clarify timelines with the Global Process Owner
Own solutions from end-to-end. Design, develop analytics, and/or drive development of solutions. This work will include customized data migration solutions for the subsidiaries.
3 or more years of experience as a Data and/or Systems Analyst
In-depth understanding of database management systems and ETL (extract, transform, load) framework
Recommended Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field
Prior experience working with data (enterprise data, business intelligence, etc.)
Participates in life-long learning and actively seeks new skills and knowledge to keep up with the changing technology field, including bringing new ideas to the team
Ability to lead others with work direction and prioritization
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
Ability to translate business requirements into technical design documents
Must be able to effectively partner with both stakeholders and developers
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and sensitivity to deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, and PowerPoint
Familiarity with the database structure of any of the various enterprise systems (Astea, Coins, JD Edwards, QuickBooks, etc.)
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 and/or D365
Experience working in SQL or DB2 database structures
Prior experience with Power BI and Microsoft Excel Power Queries
Prior experience in the construction industry
Prior experience working in Agile Project Management
Exposure working in financial systems
