Job Description

TRS Consulting & Executive Search is supporting a St. Paul company with its search for a Controls Systems Designer. This company client offers OEM and MRO support services for a wide range of clients within the aerospace and energy market spaces. Using AutoCAD, you will efficiently produce detailed electrical, schematic, pneumatic, fabrication and assembly drawing packages from engineering inputs.

Essential Functions:
Design electrical, controls, and facility integration systems
Coordinate C & I Design with lead engineer
Organize AutoCAD drawings per company configuration management plan and established procedures
Specify and select hardware (switches, transducers, valves, relays, thermocouples, RTD's. Solenoids, PLC's, etc) based on design requirements
Create and maintain detailed bills of materials
Support systems production, checkout installation, and acceptance testing
Provide labor and materials cost estimates
Work individually or as part of a team
Perform remote site field installation, checkout, testing and customer service including interfacing with customer
Travel approximately 5-10% of time both domestically and internationally


Requirements/Qualifications/Education:
Associates degree in electrical technology or equivalent
1-3 of electrical design experience preferred
Microsoft Office applications proficiency is required
Hands on electrical assembly and installation experience is desired
Experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical is required
Familiarity with GE, Allen Bradley, and Siemens PLC's is preferred
Experience with MIL spec connectors, temperature measurement, vibration measurement, pressure measurement, AC & DC circuits, and control logic
Valid Driver's License Required
