The Audit Manager role is responsible for organizing and managing client assignments and projects, including the completion of assignment tasks and project components as well as coaching, advising, and directing team members in meeting client and self-development expectations.
Consult, work with, and service client base to make recommendations on business improvement and process improvement and serve as a business advisor to client.
Team with Partners on proposals and business development calls.
Understand and manage firm risk on audits and proposals.
Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, ensuring overall success of each project.
Identify client's needs and opportunities in order to sell/cross-sell products or services.
Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, and lead change efforts effectively.
Manage, develop, train and mentor staff on projects and assess performance for engagements and mid-year and year-end reviews.
Build and nurture strong working relationships with client management and peer client levels.
Works as an effective team member to complete project components and assignment tasks.
Successfully direct and maintain a motivated and empowered work team.
Demonstrate an active interest in the business world by keeping abreast of market trends and business developments.
Participate in firm wide initiatives - recruitment, marketing, etc.
Actively support new initiatives.
Develop deeper knowledge and skills in technical field, both on the job and through formal learning channels.
EDUCATION and QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
Current CPA or demonstrated progress towards obtaining CPA certification required
Minimum 5+ years of public accounting and auditing experience required with emphasis in:
o Auditing with an emphasis in manufacturing
o Financial Reporting
o Business Analytics
o Leading the audit team
Passion for the fast-growing industry in the United States
